In Final Fantasy XV, The Summit is the second major quest of Chapter 9: Callings. In this mission, Noctis meets with the first secretary of Accordo to discuss the terms of working with Lady Lunafreya to summon the Hydraean.

  • Recommended Level: 30
  • Rewards, 1,000 XP, Oracle Ascension Coins

As you finish speaking with Weskham, the first Secretary of Accordo - Camelia will appear. She is keeping Lady Lunafreya safe, but with the empire demanding they turn her over, she’s willing to speak with you to see what Noctis can offer instead. You’ll have to travel to her estate and speak with her there, but first it’s time to rest up.

Weskham will give you a map of the area and point you towards the main Leville hotel (be sure to speak to him to learn of the shops in the area - there’s even a few Bounty Hunts to take on at night). When you are ready, take the gondola to the Leville Station and head inside the hotel.

Inside you’ll meet Gentiana and Umbra, who will impart a new item: Messenger’s Amulet - the power to travel back in time an revisit Lucis. Retaining your current level and abilities, you will now be able to head back to the mainland by resting at a lodging and selecting Umbra. This will allow you to take on new side quests back in Leide, Duscae, and Cleigne, before returning to the present to continue the main story here in Altissia. This can be done at any rest area moving forward, even after the main story is complete, so make use of this ability whenever things get too tough by leveling up back in Lucis!

You can now spend the night in either the 1.5x regular suite for 500 gil, or the Royal Suite that grants 3x the experience for a whopping 30k gil. If you do decide to spend the night, consider taking on some bounties through Weskham to make the most of your experience gain.

Head to the First Secretary’s Estate

Before you head to the estate, be sure to browse the shops near the hotel, and check around the back for a weapons merchant who sells some pretty powerful gear for around 5k each that should be a welcome upgrade. Talk to the nearest gondola driver and head for the Ministerial Quarter Station, then go up the stairs behind you and cross over the water via the bridge, and turn left to look for the palace (it’s manned by several guards). Speak the guard out front when you are ready. You won’t be coming back except by way of Umbra, so make sure you are prepared for a trip.

What follows next is a tense discussion and negotiation for Altissia’s help, which will require Noctis to gain the secretary's trust with a series of questions and responses. How you respond will dictate how much trust you earn. Earn enough trust, and you’ll gain additional rewards at the end of the conversation. As a general rule of thumb: Be polite, be truthful, and recognize the concerns Altissia faces.

For an in-depth look at the possible responses and hidden values that each response can gain, see below:

Negotiation Options

There are many choices to make in this negotiation, and hidden values for each choice. While even the lowest point total will still complete the job, you'll get extra Oracle Ascension Coins the better trust you earn with Camelia. The best choices will be in bold.
