  I found her class interesting for a core course (2nd part of sem. not so much unless you like literature). Her exam are clear if you half-listen during lectures. She does give a ton of work: 2 HWs that have to be handed in paper to ur TA & attendance is very mandatory. 2 papers but they have clear criteria.

  How is this professor get such a high rating here?? Two written homework every week, two papers, two exams and the final is cumulative. Very hard to manage the workload. The TA is an incredibly harsh grader. This is the worst class I have ever taken at NYU. DONT TAKE!

  Professor Moss is inspirational. She's smart, passionate, and caring. Open to any questions and opinions in lecture and always enjoys discussions with students. Her lecture notes are clear and the grading rubric is fair. Choose her without doubt!

  Loved it! She asks for constant engagement so I had to give her 3/5 for difficulty. We were expected to participate a lot, take quizzes, do two papers, one midterm and a final (they were take-home). The TA you get can mess up your grade tho. Her classes were inspirational and made me fall in love with Ancient Greek Philosophy! Would take again!

  I love Professor Moss! Her lectures are funny and engaging while being informative. She's easy to talk to, easy to listen to, wants you to succeed, and is an expert in what she's talking about. Very clear about what she's expecting, very good at explaining things, and goes at a good pace. Would recommend to anyone, freshman, senior, or in between.

  Take her topic course when you can. She taught me how to do philosophy. Probably one of the most important woman of my life.

  Ancient philosophy isn't my jam, but Prof. Moss made it more than bearable. She takes the time to learn the names of the usual participators in class, and welcomes a lot of questions. Her lectures, because of this and other factors, are worth going to. She hosts three hours of Office Hours a week, which is generous. And she doesn't take any bs.

  One of the BEST professors I've taken. She's an amazing lecturer who tries to engage a big crowd in class. She makes everything so clear that everything becomes so easy after lectures. She's an expert on the subject and she cares a lot about her students. She really makes you think which is crucial to studying philosophy. Must take.

  One of the best lecturers in philosophy. She has the ability to explain extremely complicated philosophical issue in a clear and accessible way, and yet without sacrificing sophistication. She encourages questions, but when the questions begin to digress she also knows how to pull it back politely and stick to agenda. Very nice in person also.

  Easily one of the best professors I've ever had in this department, which says a lot because there are so many good professors here. Her lectures are clear, organized and engaging. She is very adorable and friendly. Her exams and papers also make a lot of sense and reasonable. Do be careful with your TA selections which may screw up your grade.

  She is without a doubt one of the best professors here. She is passionate and transmits that to the students so well. her lectures are captivating - - she doesnt get repetitive even though she explains things so thoroughly you are sure to grasp the meaning behind the argument. readings are short compared to other philosophy classes. TA's were good
