If i could go back to the 1st day, I would start reading the textbook EARLY ON. I was confused for the whole 1st half of the semester until I started reading the textbook. Read it ahead of time so u have time to ask questions before exam. She teaches fast. Do the practice problems that are posted. Never miss a HW they count a lot in the end, trust!

If you are contemplating taking this class, I recommend you take it. She is such an amazing and thoughtful professor who cares for her students. She is so attentive and kind, and she wants all her students to succeed. She is accessible outside of class and has always been. Have taken her for two classes, and both of them have been amazing.

I did her course on Spring 2023. She was funny, and her lectures were great! I took Genetics at a community college, but taking this course was better! I understood the materials and performed well! She offers some extra credit! Definitely would take her for Genetics course!

Where do I even start? This was my first semester taking Dr.Moore, and all I can say is that she is one of the best professors I have ever taken. She and Dr.Goven are the best Bio professors at UNT. Her class was very entertaining, and if you show up and take notes that is all you really need. She has so much respect amongst all the students! 10/10

I have taken two classes with Dr. Moore and Genetics was the best one. She puts a lot of effort into breaking down the concepts so that everyone can grasp a concept. The only grades in the class are homework assignments and exams but if you go to lecture and study you shouldn't be hard pressed to get an A.

Dr. Moore is an absolute joy. She covers everything you need to know in the lectures. I barely had to take notes because of how well she lectures. The class is very heavily test weighted, but she drops an exam grade and offers bonus questions and small 10 question canvas quizzes. Her class is straightforward and similar to high school. Loved her :)

All the information you need is on the lectures which she posts on canvas. Graded on homework questions (not many) and exams. Good amount of self-teaching especially if you don't show up, which I suggest you do because she gives you points based on iClicker attendance. She speaks in a very monotone voice! Review lecture slides and you'll be fine.

Had to retake this class and Dr. Moore was amazing! Her lectures and exams were clear and easy to follow. Everything she tests on can be easily reviewed through her PowerPoints. Easy to follow class and even easier assignments. As long as you read and review her powerpoints this class is a breeze.

Attendance isn't required but you better go to class. She posts slides online but she scribbles all over them doing examples so you need more than that. She won't tolerate anyone talking during lecture thank god because you can actually focus in there. She's great.

Dr. Moore is actually really good! Everything is clear and straightforward- attend the lectures, pay attention to her slides and youre golden. She emphasizes on taking a lot of time to work out problems which, if you take it seriously, will make it a smooth sail.

She is very rude and she does not reply to emails. She expects do you know materials that you have not even know yet. She doesn't curve because her exams average were passing. And she barely gives 3 extra points. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING HER BECAUSE OF HIGH RATE REVIEW.

Best professor for genetics (spring) and cell bio (fall). To stress a previous post, exams were never difficult/extremely fair and yet still gave quality lectures. Tests straight from her slides/lectures, no textbook needed. Stern and carries herself in high regard deservedly so.

This class was fine. But I felt like a lot of the material that was on the test was not covered in the lectures. The key concepts were terrible and she spent a lot of time talking about things that were NOT on the tests. She gave some homework but it was mostly all test grades. Not my favorite.

She is very unenthusiastic, which makes her lectures very boring. I went to class to get extra points on Iclicker. Her exams were easy if you went through all the power points and taught yourself. She just read off the PPT. Overall, there is a lot of self-teaching, she doesn't really help. But she does have Q&A sessions before the test.

The key concepts she gives before an exam, are usually not on the exam. I had to study all of the lecture notes for the exam, just to make sure I would pass. However, she does do "meetings" before the exam to cover any questions that the students had.

Dr. Moore's lectures are simple and to the point. Everything you need to know will be in her lectures. Her homework assignments are very similar to her exams. Dr. Moore is great. I had her for Genetics this semester. We had class over zoom but she didnt take attendance. Her voice is sometimes monotone which people find boring but the material she talks about is interesting so Ive never zoned out while listening. 4 exams and 10 hw quizzes, then the final. The lowest exam gets dropped!
