The 45 Best Starbucks Drinks You Need To Try This Season (2024)

If I’m being honest, I could probably afford a small mansion with the money I’ve spent on Starbucks drinks over the years. There’s just something so cozy and comforting about my go-to venti dirty chai or the ever-popular pumpkin spice latte—or PSL.

But this year, I finally got bored with my regular Starbucks drink picks, so I set out to add a few more—45 of them to be exact—to my coffee rotation.

Keep reading for our list of the 45 best Starbucks drinks that you and your tastebuds shouldn’t miss out on this season… and stay till the very end for a couple of surprises, too.

1. Iced Green Tea Lemonade

On a hot summer’s day, there’s nothing quite so refreshing as a tall glass of lemonade. And this one’s healthier than your basic lemonade, too.

Green tea, mint, lemon verbena, lemongrass, and lemonade combine to create the perfect blend of sweet, citrus, and herby notes. What’s more, all of these ingredients have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, brain and metabolism-boosting, pro-immunity, and anti-bacterial properties (1), (2), (3).

2. Hot Peppermint Mocha

Of the many different coffee drinks, a peppermint mocha is the best way to get into the holiday spirit, no matter the time of year. Starbucks’ Signature Espresso, luscious steamed milk, mocha and peppermint syrup, whipped cream, and chocolate curls are the perfect ensemble.

Plus, did you know that chocolate is actually good for you? That’s right. Dark chocolate is great for your heart, helps your brain function better, helps fight diabetes, and more (4). So indulge your taste buds… in moderation, of course.

Want to make a Peppermint Mocha at home? Steven from Home Grounds shows you a recipe for it (and two other Starbucks holiday drinks) in this quick video:

3. Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher

Do you need a nice long vacay at a swanky, tropical resort? Yeah, we do, too. But as much as the heart is willing, the bank accounts beg to differ.

Fortunately, the Starbucks Mango Dragonfruit Refresher is available in many of the coffee shop giants’ branches. This tropical Refresher is made with water, natural mango, green coffee and dragon fruit flavors, and white grape juice concentrate, all topped with freeze-dried dragon fruit.

What’s dragon fruit? It’s a Mexican and South American cactus fruit with green scales, white flesh, and many health benefits (5).

4. Honey Almond Milk Flat White

If you want to keep your drink simple, why not try a Honey Almond Milk Flat White?

Made with Starbucks Blonde Espresso, almond milk, and just a hint of honey, this is the perfect classic drink to pair with a biscotti or three.

5. Teavana® London Fog Latte

This one is for all you non-coffee drinkers out there. Citrus bergamot, lavender, vanilla syrup, and steamed milk come together for a decidedly modern take on the classic Earl Gray.

For us, this is the perfect beverage on a snowy winter’s day. Pair it with a hearty slice of pound cake and a lovely book for an introvert’s perfect getaway.

6. Coconutmilk Cascara Latte

This coconut and cascara sugar latte is seriously one of Starbucks’ most underrated drinks. Creamy, frothy coconut milk and Starbucks’ rich, bold Signature Espresso serve as a perfect canvas for the cascara sugar on top.

If you’ve never had cascara sugar, consider making this drink a part of your Starbucks rotation. Made from the dried skin and pulp of the coffee cherry, cascara brings a subtly sweet, citrus, and jammy note to the creamy coconut milk and espresso.

7. Iced Coffee

On those days when you just need a classic, caffeinated beverage to cool you off during the warmer months, you can’t go wrong with Starbucks’ classic iced coffee.

With fresh-brewed coffee, ice, and their classic syrup, this is the perfect drink to keep you refreshed and focused during those infamous afternoon slumps at the office. Unsurprisingly, this is one of the most popular Starbucks drinks during spells of warm weather.

8. Mocha frappuccino

This classic mocha frappuccino is pretty much a mocha milkshake in a cup. Milk, mocha sauce, frappuccino roast coffee, and ice are all blended for a creamy, refreshing drink.

Oh, and if you can’t make it to Italy for a classic affogato—ice cream topped with an espresso shot—finish this drink off with a shot of their Signature Espresso to recreate the experience.

9. Blond Cafe Americano

The 45 Best Starbucks Drinks You Need To Try This Season (1)

By now, we’re all familiar with the classic Cafe Americano—two shots of espresso combined with hot water. But if you are in the mood for something just a bit different, why not try out Starbucks’ Blond Cafe Americano?

Made with their specially-selected coffee beans from Latin America and East Africa, this Blond Espresso Roast is balanced, subtly sweet, and gentle. While it’s usually paired with milk, enjoy this Americano black for a more subtle take on this time-tested classic.

10. Matcha Green Tea Latte

Imagine taking the best green tea, grinding it into a fine powder, and whipping it into a luscious, frothy drink. Now, imagine that same high-quality green tea rounded out with velvety, frothy whole milk. And that’s your Matcha Latte in a nutshell.

This matcha latte is high in antioxidants and polyphenols, as with all green tea-based drinks. Along with giving you a great caffeine boost, it also reduces inflammation and may boost your metabolism.

11. Iced Matcha Latte

If you love matcha green tea but need an iced latte to cool you down, this iced matcha latte is your best bet.

With the same simple ingredients as their hot matcha latte, this iced version provides the same health-boosting benefits without the heat.

12. Honey Citrus Mint Tea

Next, we have a customer creation that became so popular it made its way onto Starbucks’ official menu. And after looking at the ingredients list, it’s easy to see why.

At first, Starbucks medicine ball or honey citrus mint tea seems relatively straightforward: citrus mint green and peach teas, lemonade, and honey. Dive deeper into the ingredients list, and you’ll discover it’s a drink bursting with flavor.

The lemonade is made with sugar, lemon juice, water, and lemon oil. The citrus mint green tea contains green tea, lemongrass, lemon verbena, and spearmint. Finally, the peach tea is a fruity, flavorful combination of candied pineapple, apples, peaches, rosehip peels, chamomile flowers, and lemon verbena.

13. S’mores Frappuccino

This Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino is the perfect year-round treat. Marshmallow-infused whipped cream, milk chocolate sauce, vanilla, coffee, more marshmallow-infused cream, and a graham cracker crumble give you delicious campfire vibes – without the hassle of actually going camping and building a fire.

14. Flat White

Though some people may find this drink basic, we think the Flat White is yet another underrated Starbucks classic.

Two ristretto shots of espresso and steamed milk come together to make the perfect accompaniment to a moist, blueberry muffin. It’s the ideal compromise between a plain Americano and one of the richer dessert-in-a-cup drinks.

15. Strawberry Acai Refresher

If you love strawberries, then this Strawberry Acai Refresher is for you. Made with a base of white grape juice concentrate, green coffee flavors, natural fruit and vegetable juices, and real strawberries blended in, this Refresher is a berry lover’s dream.

16. Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso

This shaken espresso is your best bet if you want a cool, refreshing drink based on Starbucks’s Blond Espresso. This is a vegan treat you can’t miss out on, made with a delicious blend of brown sugar, cinnamon, Blond Espresso, and oat milk.

17. Cold Brew

This classic cold brew coffee is made fresh every day. Steeped for twenty hours using specially-selected beans from Latin America and East Africa, it’s smooth, sweet, and refreshing. If you’ve never tried cold brew, this Starbucks version is a great introduction. Then, try to make your cold brew coffee at home, too!

18. Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

Building on their classic cold brew, this pumpkin cream version is October in a cup. Starbucks’ Cold Brew coffee is blended with vanilla sauce and topped with pumpkin cream cold foam—containing real pumpkin puree—which is then dusted with a blend of cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg.

Want to make your own? Here’s our easy pumpkin cream cold brew recipe!

19. Salted Caramel Cold Brew

If you like a sweet-and-savory touch to your drink, this Starbucks salted caramel cold brew is for you.

Blended with their classic cold brew, this sweet-salty drink is made with just a hint of caramel and topped with a salted caramel cold foam. It’s a delightful twist on a classic that deserves a place on any Starbucks order.

20. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

We love the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew for its simplicity and balance. Smooth, sweet, slow-steeped cold brew coffee comes together with vanilla syrup and velvety, airy vanilla sweet cream to create a truly delightful beverage.

21. Iced Caramel Macchiato

This cold version of a well-loved classic is another favorite among iced coffee types. Cold brew, vanilla syrup, milk, and a caramel drizzle come together in a drink that’s a classic for a reason. This one is so beloved, we even have our own iced caramel Macchiato recipe, just in case the Starbucks is out of reach.

22. Pink Drink

Here’s a color you don’t usually find in your Starbucks cup: pink. Originally a Starbucks secret menu creation, Starbucks pink drink became so popular that it found its way onto the menu in 2016 (6).

It starts with Starbucks’ classic Strawberry Acai Refresher base. Then add creamy coconut milk and tart passion fruit for a combo that’s sure to liven up any day.

23. Caramel Frappuccino

This enduring Starbucks classic is for all the caramel lovers out there. Caramel syrup, milk, coffee, and ice create a slushy base of caramel goodness for the whipped cream and decadent caramel syrup on top.

As with all your Starbucks fraps, feel free to add in an extra shot of espresso on top for good luck, or just more caffeine. Or customize it even further by making it at home. Just start with our simple frappuccino recipe and add flavors and toppings to your heart’s desire.

24. White Chocolate Mocha

This White Chocolate Mocha is simple yet delicious. Signature Espresso, milk, and white chocolate sauce meld together to form a warm, comforting drink—all topped by a foamy layer of whipped cream.

25. Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ever the fall favorite, this Starbucks seasonal latte might be basic or cliche, but we don’t care.

Their Signature Espresso is blended with milk and pumpkin spice syrup. Then, it’s topped with whipped cream and a dusting of warm spices – ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.

26. Vanilla Sweet Cream Nitro Cold Brew

Nitro cold brew takes regular cold brew up a notch by infusing it with nitrogen gas for a natural (and calorie-free) sweet flavor and creamy texture. In this drink, the classic nitro cold brew is complemented by a rich, velvety layer of vanilla sweet cream.

If you’re interested in making this drink, here’s a Vanilla Sweet Cream Nitro cold brew recipe you can make at home.

27. Cafe Mocha

The 45 Best Starbucks Drinks You Need To Try This Season (2)

This Starbucks classic has surprisingly ancient roots. Inspired by a classic Italian drink dating from the late 1800s, Starbucks’ cafe mocha is a decadent blend of Signature Espresso, bittersweet mocha syrup, milk, and whipped cream.

To make it a bit more festive, why not try this latte with a pump of hazelnut syrup to add more depth?

28. Caramel Brulée Latte

This latte is a caramel concoction unlike the rest. Starbucks’ Signature Espresso, caramel brûlée sauce, milk, whipped cream, and caramel brûlée bits come together to create an ensemble that’s hard to resist.

Inspired by the classic French caramel brûlée dessert, this latte is sweet, smoky, and almost better than the real thing.

29. Kiwi Starfruit Refresher

While you’re probably familiar with the kiwi, the star fruit may not be something you’ve ever encountered. This tropical, star-shaped fruit is sweet, citrusy, and packed with vitamin C and antioxidants (7).

Starbucks’ Kiwi Starfruit Refresher is made with a blend of kiwi and starfruit juices, ice, and real pieces of kiwi for one of the healthiest, most delicious drinks on the menu.

30. Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino

If you’re craving an over-the-top dessert drink for a special occasion, this Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino is for you. Mocha sauce, milk, chocolate chips, and ice are all blended and topped with whipped cream and even more chocolate chips for a chocolaty invasion.

While Starbucks makes its nutritional info available for every drink, we’d suggest not reading the label for this one. In this case, blissful ignorance never tasted so good.

31. Dragon Drink

Though the name sounds kind of terrifying, trust us, it won’t bite. Made with a refreshing blend of mango, dragon fruit, real dragon fruit pieces, and coconut milk, the Starbucks Dragon Drink is a creamy, healthy delight. Oh, and did we mention it’s only a cool 130 calories per 16-ounce grande?

32. Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

This is a caramelized, sweet drink you must experience at least once, ideally around the holidays. Made with Signature Espresso, caramelized white chocolate sauce, steamed milk, whipped cream, holiday sparkles, and crispy curls, this mocha is the best way to liven up your day.

This one is surprisingly straightforward to make at home, if you’re so inclined. Just follow our Toasted White Chocolate Mocha recipe. No toasting of chocolate is required!

33. Irish Cream Cold Brew

Starbucks Irish cream cold brew coffee gives you all the Irish cream flavor without any of the boozy consequences.

First, Starbucks’ slow-steeped cold brew is combined with ice, milk, Irish cream and vanilla syrups for coffee, and Irish cream cold foam. Then, it’s topped off with a light dusting of cocoa powder for the perfect, non-alcoholic way to celebrate any occasion.

34. Java Chip Frappuccino

Like all of Starbucks’ amazing frappuccinos, this java chip frappuccino is creamy and chock-full of coffee flavor. Mocha sauce, frappuccino chips, milk, and ice are blended together and topped with whipped cream and a mocha drizzle. It’s the perfect pairing for a banana loaf.

Want to make a similar chocolate-and-coffee delight at home? Check out our Mocha Cookie Crumble recipe.

35. Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte

If you’re craving sugar cookies but don’t have the time or energy to bake them, this iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk latte is for you.

Sugar cookie syrup, Blond Espresso, and almond milk are poured over ice and topped with red and green sprinkles for a festive cookie in a glass.

36. Chestnut Praline Latte

Ideally, we’d all have access to cozy, crackling fireplace chestnuts for roasting and an antique mahogany library full of leather-bound books. But alas, landlords don’t typically look too kindly on renters DIY-ing wood-burning fireplaces on their properties.

This chestnut-praline latte is the next best thing to having a fireplace. Rich, creamy, nutty, and aromatic, it’s made with Starbucks’ Signature Espresso, velvety steamed milk, caramelized, spiced, chestnut-flavored syrup, whipped cream, and spiced praline crumbles. Park yourself in front of the space heater and enjoy!

37. Apple Crisp Mocha Macchiato

There’s nothing quite like fresh-baked apple crisp or fresh-pressed apple cider to usher in the crisp, cool autumn months. Starbucks is celebrating those autumnal comforts with this Applecrisp Mocha Macchiato.

Brown sugar, cinnamon, toasted oats, and apples are layered over their Blond Espresso, creamy oat milk, and spiced apple crisp crumbles for the perfect substitute to fresh apple pie.

38. Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino

This classic Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino is great for those days when you don’t want chocolate (do people have those days??) but still need something indulgent.

Vanilla bean syrup, milk, ice, and whipped cream come together for a simple, back-to-basics blended drink that never fails to satisfy.

39. Cinnamon Dolce Creme

For a cinnamony departure from your run-of-the-mill Starbucks classics, this Cinnamon Dolce Creme is a great choice for the cinnamon lover in your life.

Steamed milk, cinnamon dolce syrup, whipped cream, and a spicy cinnamon dolce topping come together for a warm, spicy drink that’s great for morning or evening. And if you need an afternoon pick-me-up, try adding two shots of Blond Espresso.

Secret Menu Drinks

Finally, here are a few Starbucks secret menu items you need to try. Because these drinks can take longer to prepare, be patient with your barista and try to place your order during non-peak times.

40. Biscotti Frappuccino

First up, try the biscotti frappuccino. Order a Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino and ask if your barista can blend a biscotti right in.

41. Butterbeer Frappuccino

If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll know that butterbeer is all the rage in the wizarding world. Now, with Starbucks’ secret menu, you can create a butterbeer frappuccino of your own.

Order a Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino made with whole milk. Then, ask for 3 pumps of toffee-nut syrup, 3 pumps of caramel syrup, whipped cream, and a caramel drizzle.

42. Nutella Latte

Next up, here’s a secret menu favorite, the Nutella latte. To make it, ask for a Caffe Misto, 1 pump of chocolate syrup, 1 pump of hazelnut syrup, topped off with caramel drizzle.

43. Ferrero Rocher Frappuccino

If you’re as obsessed with Ferrero Rocher chocolates as we are, then this frappuccino will hit the spot for those times when you can’t get a hold of them.

Start off by asking for a Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino. Then, have your barista add in 3 pumps of mocha syrup, 2 pumps of hazelnut syrup, and some hazelnut drizzle on top.

44. Horchata Frappuccino

A great glass of horchata can be hard to find outside of Mexico. But with this recipe, as long as you can get to Starbucks, a horchata frappuccino is just an order away.

Start with a Cinnamon Dolce Creme, made with almond milk and a caramel drizzle inside the cup. Next, have your barista add some whipped cream and even more caramel drizzle.

45. The TikTok Caramel Drink

Last but not least, we have the TikTok Caramel Drink. Yes, the one that many baristas dread, so please be patient with them if you order this one.

Start off with a venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha. Then, add caramel drizzle to the inside of the cup and sweet cream cold foam with caramel drizzle mixed in. Once everything is nicely blended, ask your barista to add some caramel drizzle on top for the ultimate decadence.
